Treatment Center
Grief Counseling
Grief counseling: This is a form of therapy that helps you cope with the emotional pain of losing someone or something you love. It can help you accept the loss, express your feelings, and adjust to life without your loved one.
Resource Center
This is a collection of books, articles, videos, and other materials that can help you understand and cope with grief. It can provide you with information, inspiration, and guidance, and help you make informed decisions about your healing journey.
Support Groups
These are groups of people who have experienced similar losses and can offer you empathy, understanding, and encouragement. They can help you feel less alone and isolated, and more connected and supported These are regular meetings where women can share their stories, feelings, and experiences of grief with other women who understand and empathize. The groups are facilitated by trained volunteers who create a safe and respectful space for expression and listening. The groups are free and open to any woman who has experienced any type of loss.
Workshops and Events:
These are educational and social activities that can help you learn new skills, explore new interests, and meet new people. They can help you find meaning and purpose in your life and create positive memories and experiences These are one-day or half-day sessions that cover different topics and aspects of grief, such as coping skills, self-care, spirituality, and creativity. The workshops are led by experts and professionals who offer information, guidance, and activities to help women heal and grow from their grief. The workshops are offered at a low cost or on a sliding scale basis, depending on the availability of funds.
Sisterhood Retreat
This is a (annual), weekend retreat that is specifically designed for women who have lost something dear in their life. It provides a nurturing and healing environment where you can relax, reflect, and rejuvenate, and participate in various activities that promote self-care, creativity, and connection.These are weekend or longer events that offer a more intensive and immersive experience of grief tending. The retreats are held in beautiful and serene locations, such as lakes, forests, or mountains, where women can connect with nature and themselves. The retreats include group and individual sessions, ceremonies and rituals, meditation and yoga, and other healing practices. The retreats are offered at a reasonable price

You can attend some of the events and workshops that Sisters of Grief offer, even if you don’t live in New Orleans. Some of our events and workshops are online, such as webinars, courses, and forums, which you can access from anywhere with an internet connection. You can also attend our offline events and workshops, such as retreats and conferences, if you are willing and able to travel to the location. However, you may need to pay for your own transportation, accommodation, and other expenses.
